How Do I Create a Learning Path in Edumo?
In Edumo, all learning materials are organized into learning paths, which are structured sequences of exercises, readings, and interactive content. To create one, open the Drafts section, click "Create Path," then define your subject, CEFR level, and source language. Choose a structure (weekly classes, segments, or empty), and start adding materials. The Create Path Wizard guides you through each field in a few minutes.
To create a path, watch the video or continue reading the step-by-step guide below.

Step 1: Launch the Create Path Wizard
- Log into Edumo.
- In the lefthand side menu, navigate to Drafts.
- Click the Create Path button to open the Create Path Wizard.
(First time a big text button at the bottom, and next time a toolbar button with a plus at the top)
Step 2: Define Basic Path Information
Fill in context for your new learning path, which will be used by Edumo when generating learning materials:
- Name: Enter a descriptive name.
- Subject: Enter the language you're teaching.
- Level: Enter the CEFR level target.
- Source language: Enter the language of your students. Translations of vocabulary to learn may be shown in this language.
Step 3: Configure Path Structure
- Choose how to structure your path
- Choose to specify weekly classes if you want to remind your students of the time of your classes (and potentially location) as well as restrict students from viewing and doing homework for later classes.
- Choose to specify a number of segments if you want to add some structure like a set of units without indicating specific time.
- Choose an empty path if you will just add the structure manually later.
- Specify the specific structure
- Weekly classes: If you chose weekly classes specify them.
- Days of week: Click the weekdays you have classes.
- Time and place: Optionally specify the time and the location
- Start date: Specify the date of the first class.
- Number: Specify the number of classes you'd like added from the start.
- Number of segments: If you chose to add a number of segments add the number you want.
- Empty path: Nothing more to do.
- Weekly classes: If you chose weekly classes specify them.
- Click the Generate button
Step 4: Add & Organize Content
Now your learning path should be created and you should be "inside" the learning path and ready to add learning materials. You can use the three dot buttons that are shown on the segments (bars) and steps (circles) to add materials. You can also use the menu atop the learning path.
