Resources > AI Guide > Introduction

Hi there!

I'm Morten, a long-time language learner. My native language is Danish and I've learned English and some German through school. I also learned a couple of programming languages, and through university more than a handful more, but that's another story.

As an adult I've tried to learn my wife's language, Bulgarian, for many years, which led me to start Edumo and talk to a lot of language teachers and tutors. In this guide I'll share what I've picked up along the way: practical prompts, honest tool advice, and a few things I wish someone had told me when I started working with AI.

I've talked to teachers from primary education to recreational courses, from classroom teachers to online 1:1 tutors. Teachers who disliked AI, teachers who were annoyed correcting the mistakes of AI, and teachers who were eager to use it everywhere. Whether you're just getting started with AI or already using it daily, I hope there's something in this guide for you.

You don't have to read this front to back. If you're already comfortable with AI and want prompts for grammar exercises, jump straight to the grammar chapter. If you're brand new and want to understand what you're working with first, just keep reading from here.

Happy reading :)
Morten
